The Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Project in Kogi State has congratulated the Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and people of the state on the celebration of its 34th anniversary.

In a goodwill message, the State Project Coordinator (SPC), Alhaji Ahmed Tijani Oricha, described the 34th anniversary as a milestone that calls for both celebration and renewed commitment to sustainable development across all sectors, particularly education.

Alhaji Oricha commended the present administration under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for prioritizing education, especially through deliberate interventions that create safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environments for children and adolescents.

He noted that the ongoing support of the State Government has continued to strengthen the implementation of the AGILE Project in Kogi, thereby expanding opportunities for adolescent girls to access quality education, build life skills, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the state.

“As Kogi marks 34 years of existence, we at AGILE join millions of citizens to celebrate this progress and to reaffirm our commitment to partnering with the Government to empower our girls, strengthen our schools, and secure a brighter future for generations to come,” Alhaji Oricha stated.

The SPC further called on parents, traditional institutions, community leaders, and stakeholders to continue supporting government initiatives aimed at keeping children, especially girls, in school. He stressed that the collective commitment of all actors remains vital to achieving the vision of a prosperous and educated Kogi.

While congratulating the Governor and the good people of Kogi, Alhaji Oricha assured that the AGILE Project will continue to deliver on its mandate of improving access, retention, and quality of secondary education across the state.
