Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un – From Allah we came and to Him we shall return.

The Kogi State AGILE Project family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Alhaji Ndambabo Isah Maliki, the beloved father of our Communication Officer, Yahaya Ndambabo and a highly respected Qur’anic teacher. Alhaji Maliki answered the call of Almighty Allah and returned to his Creator on Saturday, 28th September 2025.

Until his passing, Alhaji Ndambabo Isah Maliki was known for his deep knowledge of the Qur’an, his commitment to Islamic education, and the positive impact he made in the lives of his numerous students and community members. His death is a great loss not only to his family but also to the entire community that benefited from his wisdom and teachings.

Reacting to the sad news, the Project Coordinator of Kogi AGILE, Alh. Ahmed Tijani Oricha, expressed profound sorrow over the demise of Alhaji Maliki, describing him as a revered father figure and a man who devoted his life to the service of Allah and humanity.

He noted that his contributions to Islamic education and the moral upbringing of many within the community would continue to speak for him long after his passing.

Alh. Oricha, on behalf of the entire AGILE team, extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, praying that Almighty Allah forgives the deceased, grants him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and strengthens his children and loved ones to bear the loss with fortitude.

He also assured the Communication Officer of the unwavering support and prayers of the entire SPIU team during this difficult time.

The Janazah (funeral) prayer is scheduled to hold today, Saturday, 28th September 2025, by 2:00 PM, at his residence located at C9 Cantonment Street, via Riverside, Lokoja. He will be laid to rest at Unguwar Kura/Kabawa Cemetery, Lokoja.

We pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, accepts his return, and grants him Al-Jannatul Firdaus. We also pray that Allah comforts his family, students, and all those who mourn his departure, and grants them the strength to bear this painful loss.

May his soul rest in peace. Ameen.
